The Corozo Style jewellery collection is made of unique, beautiful and distinctive designs created by owner/designer Gabriella Romero d'Harvey, and inspired by the rich, vibrant culture of her native Ecuador, and her Ecuadorian design team. Corozo Style’s fair trade products are made from the environmentally sustainable and renewable tagua nut (also known as the corozo nut) imported from the tropical forests of Ecuador.

The Corozo Style jewellery collection is designed using the tagua nut, a non-toxic, 100% natural vegetable ivory which has the working and aesthetic qualities of animal ivory. The tagua nut ultimately serves as a botanical alternative to using animal ivory, and has been regarded as a highly valued global commodity used in crafting and commercial raw materials for over a century. The nuts are sustainably harvested by indigenous farmers who gather them from the forest floor, not only protecting the delicate ecosystem they come from, but also serving to strengthen the symbiotic relationship between the rainforest, the local economy, and all foreign markets.

As consumers become better educated and more sensitized to the global impact of supporting sustainable product lines, Corozo Style is proud to share with our customers a common desire to protect and promote environmentalism, forest and habitat conservation, fair trade products, and the use of sustainable materials.

The raw beauty in each of Gabriella’s one-of-a-kind creations is as rare, bold and brilliant as the pristine rainforests they hail from. Her designs showcase the beauty and symmetry of organic form and color, and her vision for Corozo Style truly celebrates the viability of ecologically sustainable business practices.
